What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Alongside cookies, VYRA also uses browser localStorage to store your preferences. Together these help the platform remember your settings and keep you logged in securely.

Cookies and storage we use

Essential — Authentication (Clerk)

Clerk sets session cookies to keep you securely logged in. These include __session, __client_uat, and related tokens. These are strictly necessary and the platform cannot function without them.

Type: Cookie · Duration: Session / up to 1 year depending on "Stay signed in" setting

Functional — Theme preference

Your light/dark mode preference is stored in localStorage under the key theme so your display choice persists across visits.

Type: localStorage · Duration: Persistent until cleared

Functional — Currency preference

Your selected display currency (e.g. USD, GBP, EUR) is stored in localStorage under currency so you see prices in your preferred format.

Type: localStorage · Duration: Persistent until cleared

Functional — View mode preference

Your chosen browse layout (grid or list view) is stored in localStorage under viewMode.

Type: localStorage · Duration: Persistent until cleared

Functional — Haul draft

If you begin creating a haul and navigate away, a draft is saved in localStorage under haul_draft so your work is not lost.

Type: localStorage · Duration: Until you publish or manually clear it

Third-party — Cloudflare

Cloudflare may set cookies such as __cf_bm for bot management and security. These are set automatically to protect the platform from abuse.

Type: Cookie · Duration: 30 minutes

Cookies we do not use

VYRA does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or analytics services such as Google Analytics. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. We do not use fingerprinting or any form of behavioural tracking.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential Clerk session cookies will prevent you from staying logged in. To clear localStorage preferences, use your browser's developer tools or clear site data. This will reset your theme, currency, and view preferences.
